  2. My friends lost interest in 2nd edition. I went back to DM'ing 3rd edition. Also, life happened and I opted to pursue other projects and interests. I probably won't finish this character generator, unless my friends get interested in 2nd edition again.

  • This character generator was created to be used with Excel (.xlsm format). Total file size is 720 KB.

  • Very simple to use.

  • Extremely in-depth. Incorporates the following books:

    • The Complete book of Elves

    • The Complete book of Gnomes and Halflings

    • The Complete Bard's Handbook

    • The Complete Druid's Handbook

    • The Complete Fighter's Handbook

    • The Complete Paladin's Handbook

    • The Complete Priest's Handbook

    • The Complete Ranger's Handbook

    • The Complete Thief's Handbook

    • The Complete Wizard's Handbook

    • Player's Option: Skills and Powers

  • You MUST have macros enabled for the character generator to work properly.

2nd Edition D& D Character Generator Software Download

  • Added toggle buttons for:

    • Expanded ability scores

    • Random height/age/weight

    • Additional demihuman levels

    • Profiency system

    • Character kits

    • Character matrix

    • Kit matrix

    • Race notes

    • Class notes

    • Kit notes

  • Added reset button for character sheet

  • Added kit selection box. Simply select a kit from the drop down list. IMPORTANT NOTE: Kits have not been incorporated into other tables yet (ie: spell progression, THAC0, profiencies, etc). You must manually account for the changes each kit will cause to the character. This will be addressed in a future version.

  • Added kit matrix. It functions similarly to the character matrix. If the stats/sex/alignment you've entered meets the requirements for a kit it will turn green. If requirements are not met it will turn red.

  • Added kit notes field. This descibes the kit as listed in the applicable book.

  • Added drop down lists for:

    • Race

    • Class

    • Level

    • Alignment

    • Sex

    • All statistics (minus STR%)

  • Many formatting, visual, and layout changes.
